Villa Clorinda
Twentieth century
Description of the site:
The villa was built in the 1920's, at the behest of the Colonna family, in a project by Bruno Cipelli. The building, in origin, was composed of two floors, to which has been added a third. The principal entrance is characterized by a pronaos with four columns, preceded by a little set of steps, at the sides of which are sculptures of two lions. On the outside there are numerous decorations, frames and pilasters in white stucco. The ornamentation consists of floral elements and men and women's faces. The windows feature ogive arches. The internal construction raises little towers culminating in merlature. The entire building is characterized by the union of gothic tastes and elements of the liberty style. The villa is not currently accessible as it is hosting a religious college.
