Teatro Michelucci
Modern period
Description of the site:
The works were planned by the great architect Michelucci, who disappeared a little before work began, with the collaboration of the architects Marcetti and Emanueli. The complex consists of a theatre laboratory which can host shows and manifestations, thanks to a retractile platform with 150 places. An administration area with multimedia centre and library comprise a huge open space, wooden stage, great lighting effects and beautifully contrasting steel and wood. The open theatre can host 2000 people, seated, with a spectacular view of the 500 squared metre stage which has as a natural background the Gulf of Olbia and an inspiring view of the city. A turret with four floors is home to the dressing rooms.
How to get there: The site is adjacent to the Olbia mare lot in the vicinity of Auchan, along strada statale 125.
