Holidays and tourism in the city of Olbia

The festival of "Madonna del Mare" and of San Giovanni Battista consists of a procession to the sea with the statue of the saints laid down on a boat, to be followed by 100's of craft. In this inspiring moment, devotion to the protector of Olbia's sea is renewed. The celebration incorporates several attractions and popular involvement with: the "fire jump", dances, competitions and shows involving boats, fried fish and sea fruit.
