Fattoria Romana S'Imbalconadu
Description of the site:
The farm at S'Imbalconadu occupies the summit of a little hill to the right of Rio Padrongianus. It appears as a large quadrangular structure, with around 20 sections organized around a central courtyard, which is occupied by a square building; inside there is a terracotta oven. The walls are constructed from blocks of granite, while the floors have been made with thin layers of earthenware pottery, and in some parts with irregular slabs of granite. Probably dating back to the end of the second century BC, it was intended for the cultivation of cereals, especially of grain, raising of livestock and hunting.
How to get there: Around 3 km from the urban centre along the strada provinciale going towards Loiri.
