Pozzo Sacro
Nuraghic period
Description of the site:
Probably constructed at the end of the Bronze Age. The structure comprises an ample courtyard, which is entered via a hall, which is in turn connected by steps to the 'camera a tholos', which overlooks the stand. The courtyard, accessible via a series of four steps, is regularly circular and corralled by a heavy wall, along which rises a seat, presumably intended to accommodate the populace during sacred ceremonies.

From the courtyard, entirely paved, one can access the well via a series of 17 steps. During the period of excavation of the well, many objects from the Nuraghic, Punic and Roman ages were found, sure signs that a certain continuity of use has been observed, possibly connected to Pagan rites.
How to arrive: Follow via dei Lidi, past the Industrial zone, when you reach the roundabout the site is clearly indicated.
Services available on-site: Information cards posted at the site, parking for buses.
