Holidays and tourism in the city of Olbia

This year, too, the Associazione Amici del Carnevale has put together a programme rich in entertainment. The celebrations started on Thursday 15th at 16:00 in Piazza Crispi with a gathering of those in fancy dress and the musical accompaniments of Tore Nieddu and the Ciro Boys. The next meeting, still in Piazza Crispi, it was on Saturday 17th with music from Hubanera Band and the traditional offering of broad beans and lard and good wine. Sunday 18th was the turn of the gathering in Piazza Matteotti, with the mini parade which winds through Via Regina Elena, Via Roma, Via Nanni and concluded in Piazza Crispi. Finally, on Tuesday 20th the celebrations peak with the assembling of the allegorical floats in Via Galvani at and the parade, which passed through the whole city, to the accompaniment of music by Banda Musicale, the Mascadores of Padru, and various other groups from Lode and Torpè. The parade ended in Piazza Crispi where music it was played and the festivities were concluded.
