Holidays and tourism in the city of Olbia

This year, too, the Associazione Amici del Carnevale has put together a programme rich in entertainment. The celebrations kick off on Thursday 15th at 16:00 in Piazza Crispi with a gathering of those in fancy dress and the musical accompaniments of Tore Nieddu and the Ciro Boys. The next meeting, still in Piazza Crispi, is on Saturday 17th at 18:00 with music from Hubanera Band and the traditional ofering of broad beans and lard, and good wine. Sunday 18th at 16:00 sees the gathering in Piazza Matteoti, beginning the mini parade which winds through via Regina Elena, via Roma, via Nanni and concludes in Piazza Crispi where one can indulge in fritters and listen to music from New karalis. Finally, on Tuesday 20th the celebrations peak with the assembling of the alegorical floats in via Galvani at 13:00 and the parade, which passes through the whole city, to the accompaniment of music by Banda Musicale, the Mascadores of Padru, and various other groups from Lode and Torpe. The parade ends in Piazza Crispi where music will be played and the festivities will conclude.
